Bio: Dr. Mark Morton is the Artistic Director of the American School of Double Bass, housed in a century-old restored firehouse near downtown Columbus, and is instructor of bass at Capital University. He is also the author of the popular Dr. Morton series of bass technique books from Basso Profondo Publications. A frequent recitalist and concerto performer, he has released four solo CDs: one with Gary Karr playing the music of Paul Ramsier. Thresholds, features advanced student repertoire. "Russian Rendezvous" features the music of Koussevitsky and Gliere. Another is etudes by Thomas B. Gale.
